The Tap is intentionally straightforward: a small independent pub where the bar changes, the room has character and the focus stays on the drink and the people around it.
Independent from day one
Newhaven Tap opened in May 2026 in the centre of town. The idea is uncomplicated: keep the beer well, offer proper cider, make the room welcoming and let the atmosphere do the rest.
High Street heart
At 29A High Street, the Tap sits among Newhaven’s independent businesses — with Pat’s Pizza immediately next door.

From shopfront to Tap.
The frontage took shape on Newhaven High Street before opening in May 2026. The finished room keeps that clean, understated feel: black frontage, warm lighting and a compact bar.
